RBY is leaving the RTC. Haven't seen that discussed here yet.

Not surprising as he’s got that lone wolf mentality. Saw he’s opening a club in Tucson. Any beat on where he’s heading? Also, kind of thought we’d get a bit of movement into the RTC after Final X. Curious how active we are trying to recruit certain weights.

It will be nice to have someone else out there developing talent that believes in what DT is doing.

We all know we have clubs that aren’t.

RAF 4: Hendrickson vs Parris

It was reported that RAF 4 would be in Stillwater but appears it’s now in Indiana. Wonder what the issue was? Be fun to see an early preview of next years US Open regardless!

The wrestling team is at Nebraska Sunday Dec 21 so they wouldn't be in town for it. The men have a home basketball game Thursday and Sunday. Imagine all of that was a factor

Are there rules about college coaches and cornering RTC guys? I still have no understanding of how the RTC-college relationship is allowed to work

I don't think so. I don't know why the NCAA should care. I do think coaches will always prioritize the college team during the college season though.

RAF04 is definitely out of the question for the college coaches though as it's only hours before our dual at Nebraska.

Probably reads as sour grapes but RBY just always felt like a mercenary. Love that McKenna and Zahid have seemingly bought into the town, culture and training environment. Will definitely miss RBY as a partner but am looking forward to whomever we bring in to fill that 57kg spot in the RTC.

He feels good! Weight is good and he’s ready to compete mentally.

I spoke with him tonight at the Choctaw deal and he’s chomping at the bit, but he’s a smart guy…gonna let the med staff send him.

However, he was helping tonight, with no medical device or anything.
What weight will be interesting

Luke Surber is a CLAW champion and earned more than half of his team's points! The Leopards were down 36-10 with two matches remaining. Luke dominated Vince Dietz and got the score to 36-31 before Zach Elam beat Demetrius Thomas on OT to make it 37-36 for the Leopards. The video is available on Flo

Surber was a beast on top. Angelo drafted a really good team they went undefeated

Livestream for the RTC vs France match is up on the Stilly Boy IG for anyone interested.
I would've been... I never saw them announce that it would be streamed at all. Not sure why Flo didn't stream it since they're already there doing the kids tournaments

Anyway, what were the results?

From the short highlight video they posted, everyone except Hamiti won. Joey, Cam, Zahid, Plott, and Wyatt. Plott got a pin and it appeared Wyatt gave up a quite a few points in the process of scoring a bunch himself.
