OT: Brian Daboll to Penn State?

I don't subscribe to the Athletic but someone told me today that the Athletic has a story that Penn State is considering Brian Daboll. As a Giants fan and a Penn State hater, I hope to God this is true.

WFAN was talking about him being seen in a PSU sweatshirt shortly after being fired. I think they said his son went there and not positive, but he might be a grad assistant there.

The article in the Athletic mentions Daboll after a slew of other possible candidates (Ga Tech’s Brent Key, JMU’s Bob Chesney, Vanderbilt’s Clark Lea, assistants Will Stein at Oregon and Brian Hartline at OSU, Pat Fitzgerald, and then Daboll). The gist around Daboll is that he would have interest and NFL guys with PSU ties have lobbied on his behalf. We’ll see.

Actually, I think Daboll would be a good candidate for them. He is a good offensive coach, good with QBs and he would be able to recruit there, especially with his NFL experience. Not that this will happen, but if it does , it’s not necessarily good news for RU.
