I do miss the CVAC. The attendance at games was wayyyyyy better…… The games were more competitive…… Overall
Plus we only get 2 Non-Conference games…. Absolutely sucks…….
Playing Highland Tech, Bessemer, Cherryville is just an absolute waste of time……..

I think you all are balanced at this point. Between the tough non conference games and the the 4 tough teams in the conference I think those 3 homecoming style games are a much needed vacation and break, and time to recover and let the fresh back ups play.

Those kids get beat up from week to week, you all are not out there playing with your old brittle bones.

Hey East fans?

Do yalls significant others put their teeth in and wigs on go to out to the game or do they show up in the eye patch, smelling of marlboro reds, baby powder, white diamonds and boiled hot dog water?

Also is it still like Crest, where I have to bring some delousing spray? And the most important question, do yall have Dukes mayonnaise?

My relatives that live over that way say the SO's are usually trying to tune in on some broadcast on the little crappy radios they have in the Rutherford County jail.

Dear ShelbyLion

You are cordially invited to attend the show tomorrow night in Bostic. Our only request is you move your weekly bath up one day, and take it tomorrow before arrival. I know it’s a roadtrip for you, and your friends (all 2 of them). But come early and enjoy the atmosphere, I need to warn you ahead of time the “lions” will need to bring their shoulder pads (we ain’t playing 7 on 7). I’ve tried to stay off these messages boards but I let my wife read the “S.O.” post and I told her it was totally directed at her … so you might need an escort to and fro your seat . All I needed was to get momma fired up, and all I did was wait on you …😊::: She just sent out a request to all her friends to wear “white” tomorrow night so you will be able to identify when they congregate .. CYA tomorrow buddy.

Actually I do but it aint football related... 7 on 7 on the East world is something entirely different. In their world is when they give each other a kiss... its one person with 7 teeth kissing another person with 7 teeth...

Occasionally when you are over around the Forest City Fish Camp area you will hear someone yell Wassup 7-up.... look closely and that person they are speaking too has 1 tooth pointing down and 7 pointing up.

7X7= 49 and I think that's the amount of points we score tonight...

Theme for today I guess is 7....

After we take the Cavs to the woodshed, itll be 7 more days till the Bears better get their hibernation gear out for the winter....

big ole baccer chewing , redneck aka (ShelbyLion) driving a 1972 “cress green” Datsun B210. Headed west on hwy 10, using grid map, hunting Bostic. Subject been known to enter stadiums wearing his rainbow colored (Shelby Pride) shirt , pent up high waters and sketchers slip ons. If seen don’t stop, just hold your wallet and advise. Subject not known for being the brightest light in dirty ankle, but will try and convince you he’s a Shelby VIP. He will flash his gold plated polygrip teeth while using his greasen formula on his bowl cut hair . Local authorities been made aware of his departure from CASAR City limits and notifying all local Rutherford county volunteer highway control. Last seen running 77 mph, thru 7 pines. He’s confused and thinks 7 is the magic number today, not realizing there will be more than 7 of the Bostic Babe Brigade waiting on him if he finds Harrill stadium. He won’t be hard to find surrounded by all the white shirts waving the sock filled bars of Irish spring soap. Singing “In the Jungle, the Mighty JUNGLE the Lions sleep tonight !”

Note to self: Take different route than Bostic Sunshine highway due to dead tag... Wear Hickory hat Duck gave me that says Rowdy on it, take front tag off truck , and find my overalls so I can fit in with the native crowd up there

If my wife will let me out of the house tonight I may head to Bostic, this one could be fun. Is there any good places to grub around Bostic/Forest City?

Forest City Fish Camp is one of my favorites, pretty close to the school. There’s a place just off 74 … Sakura’s Bistro (Japanese and sushi) had supper there last night was really good. But honestly unless u have your mind set on something special .. you can’t beat the food or prices in the concession stand on visitors side (FIELDHOUSE) it’s not your normal concessions (it’s really good)…they even cooking chicken dumplings tonight as a entree …

Just don’t ask for pig knuckles , pickled eggs or potted meat sammiches, “ShelbyLion” done spoke for all them.

2 things

1. That screen name is AWESOME ha ha ha

2. That aint chicken and it aint dumplins, thats some possum that inadvertently meandered its way across the dirt parking lot and into the fenced in area where it gave its precious life as a genuine imitation chicken...

Oh and the dumplins are reheated biscuits soaked in hot dog water


Whilst Forest City Fish camp is good, skip it, go to Big Daves Family seafood a few miles away..... Bunch of chain stuff also within a few miles of the school

But as my old pal BigRedCav said twice cause his hammer thumb pressed enter too many times ,you cant beat the concessions at the game, they do have good stuff there...
