Nope it was him, the ex-NFL commissioner became a consultant during the last days of the Big East. He made the dig directly at Rutgers because we made it known we were dying to get out.

Tranghese was the one who said he couldn't "sell" the Big East in football because it didn't have any National Championship contenders, even though Miami was still in the league. His only experience with TV was watching it.

Tagliabue was a great NFL commissioner, but didn't know anything about college football. RIP.

We were basically the last school out of the Big East! Miami,V-Tech.Cusr,BC Pitt were all gone! What a joke. Big Georgetown guy!
The Big East Conference was the worst thing to happen to Northeast sports!
Yes great basketball, but you can’t put all your eggs in one basket!
