After further review, there appears to have been No Participation in the Crest game from Kings Mountain. Call is overturned, YoUnG MoUntIES do not receive A Participation Trophy.

I expected a much better game. Earlyin the season KM was talking as if htey were going to turn Crest into horse sausage.
Moe’s best season was with Lloyds group his first season and everyone said that group of kids didn’t buy in..so what’s the new problem
I watched KM and Bandys game on youtube. KM didn't look like a traditional KM team to me.

1. KM has to find an energetic offensive coordinator that will attack the other teams defensive weakness(let the head man get back to being another set of defensive eyes) have to keep the young sophomore,freshman and middle school skills players excited or you'll lose them.
2. KM defensive and offensive lines never got any push. So some line coach changes (bring Kennedy back please,lol) and also a different approach to the strength program maybe needed because size wasnt the issue. Add in whats come from the middle school and JV, the line should be a force with the right progression.
3. KM defense didn't have a lot of team speed and without the team speed, you at least needed a few head hunters to put some fear into players and make the offense try to scheme a certain way.(speed and agility work needed with weight program)
4. KM offensive leaders have to take accountability for themselves and not always pointing the fingers at teammates.
5. Respect..I saw an incident with a player on the sideline when a team personnel tried to give the player some advice on what he was doing wrong and that player brushed the person away as he was talking in front of everyone. Sad thing is the family was fussing at the assistant for saying something to the player, walking up to the railings on the close field hollering.
6. No matter what grade a person is in, someone has to step up and be a leader. I think the running back that got hurt before the catholic game was a leader and the team has been missing him. I heard him explaining to parents at the catholic game that the coaches went over everything the defense was seeing from the offense but it was the players missing their assignments. I liked that he took accountability as it was a team problem, not coaching.
Noone from the outside (of course players do) was expecting them to play for states this year, but steady improvement to carry into the next few years was. All of this is my opinion in what I have seen and others have expressed also.
Word on the street is Moe is done. Wasn't even going to coach tomorrow in the playoffs, but was begged just to finish out the season. Big problems in casino city.

To be one of the highest paid coaches in the state would make almost any coach at least listen.
His name will always be mentioned. IF Lloyd would have left when Crest had the opening that I think Barnes got at the time, the powers to be was going all out on getting Beam.
That’s who they want now.

I would think he's getting well paid in Watauga.
Not saying he isnt well paid there but its not what the KM coaches make..It was an article showing the highest paid coaches in NC and he was one of the highest paid without other duties like AD. Close to 92k and that probably doesn’t include money he gets from the weekly coaches show. I bet its closer to 100k after all said and done.

Thats not confirmed but I would bet so..I know some other schools have done that before to add to the income, to entice a coach. I think Dutch Fork did the same for Knotts for the radio show down there but on a much larger scale.
