Trey Thompson's DNP was a coach's decision, but Ben McCollum also had this to say about the 17-year-old freshman:

“Trey’s good. I would be surprised if he’s not an All-Big Ten player by the time it’s all said and done. Trey’s really good. Anytime you come in, it’s just hard to catch up to the defense. And he’s getting there. He’s good offensively, he’s fantastic. Energy’s through the roof. Trey’s good. I’m not worried about him. The fact that hausen did not even get in til late in 1st half speaks volumes about Ben's insistence that guys be ready in all aspects of game to earn minutes.
I hope Trey progresses quickly but he is very young to be out there with grown men.
