CLASS A
Millard North (5-5) at Papillion-LaVista South (9-1)

- Millard North.. 5-5 Millard North.. What a win last week. PLVS is no slouch, though..
PLVS: 24 - Millard North: 10

CLASS B
Seward (8-2) at Waverly (10-0)

- I think this game could be everything the fans could as for (Think Gretna / Norris) or Waverly marches right on with no issues... A rematch from much earlier in the season saw Waverly win a close one 28-20.. Seward is good, real good... But Waverly might be destined for the gold. Should be an exciting one.
Waverly: 24 - Seward: 21

CLASS C1
Fort Calhoun (8-2) at Sidney (10-0)

- Upset watch.. Fort Calhoun is putting together a really nice season.. And they look to further that this next week as a they hunt for that semifinal berth. Sidney says "not so fast!" those boys out west know a thing or two about winning football games. I think this is a great matchup and should be an exciting, game.
Sidney: 28 - Fort Calhoun: 17

Aurora (7-3) at Columbus Lakeview (10-0)
- Bigger upset watch? I don't know what to pick here.. Lakeview is talented and also undefeated.. That doesn't happen on accident. Aurora, playing with house money after back-to-back wins over Central City should be full bore with not a nerve in sight. I think this has potential to be a really, really close game. Lakeview should win but Aurora could win.. We'll see which way the ball bounces.
Aurora: 22 - Columbus Lakeview: 21

CLASS C2
-
C2, great matchups across the board. We'll pick all 4 games.. But I'll be honest.. They're all toss ups besides Cedar Catholic (your 2025 C2 state champs). An all parochial semi-final?Perhaps it will be.
Ord (7-3) at Hartington Cedar Catholic (10-0)
Fremont Bergan (9-1)
at Grand Island Central Catholic (9-1)
Malcolm (8-2) at Kearney Catholic (10-0)
Yutan (8-2) at Wahoo Neumann (9-1)

CLASS D1
Pender (9-1) at Shelby/Rising City (10-0)
Hemingford (9-1) at Crofton (8-2)
Bridgeport (9-1) at Sandy Creek (9-1)
Plainview (9-1) at Dundy County-Stratton (10-0)
- Those first 3 I feel are "safe-ish" picks. This last one... This is the game to watch this week in D1, in my opinion. I think Dundy has a great squad, I think they're talented and well-coached and know how to win. But Plainview has been knocking on that door.. They're ready to break it down eventually. Last year as the "Plainview Pirates" and last year in 8-man (I think?) I think this one has a great finish..
Plainview: 38 - Dundy County: 37

CLASS D2
Lawrence-Nelson (9-1) at Howells-Dodge (10-0)

70+ points in 1 half? In the round of 16? Rematch with Howells Dodge?
Lawrence Nelson: 34 - Howells Dodge: 24
Sandhills/Thedford (8-2) at O'Neill St. Mary's (10-0)
Wynot (9-1)
at Hitchcock County (10-0)
Archangels Catholic (9-1) at Central Valley (10-0)

I agree with your D2 picks. HD is a great team, but the QB at L/N is a real difference maker. Best player in 8 man??

D1 I think SRC and Crofton both win handily. I could see Bridgeport pushing SC. Bridgeport has a great mix of size, speed and athleticism. Plainview/DCS is a total tossup IMO

Agreed. I do think the loss to SRC that SC suffered early in the year was the worst thing to happen for everyone else in D1. Maybe refocused them. Admittedly, I don’t know anything about Bridgeport and very little about SC besides recent success

LN QB does appear to be really good! Elmwood has looked solid all year looking at their scores - but that one got outta hand fast.

Plainview/DCS near impossible to predict.. Hopefully can catch a little bit of that early kickoff.

What do you mean by "Last year as the "Plainview Pirates" and last year in 8-man (I think?)"? Did I miss something? Are they cooping next year? Changing their name?

Forgot to factor in the coaching for Cedar Catholic, struggles in the big games.
