Not a big fan of Rhule for a lot of reasons but we are really inefficient on 4th and 1, HH is awful in short yardage, I am sure TJ isn't comfortable with specific 4th and 1 sets, and EJ is really bad in short yardage against a stacked line. If we make our missed field goal, we are set up to win the game at the end...just because you make a 4th and 1 doesn't guarantee a TD, just that the drive continues and with a freshman qb, playing in the redzone it was unlikely we score a td anyway. This is why "going for it" isn't generally a good choice over points, unless you are really hot offensively and a TD is basically automatic.

Hmm... I'd be interested to see what the analytics say. I'd be absolutely shocked if it said in most any situation there that the right odds play is to go for the FG. Obviously if you are down by a couple of points and not much time left you kick for the win but..
