The thing is, if Stirtz even comes close to living up to the unprecedented hype, he and Iowa will have a memorable season.
I loved watching him play for Drake last season, and I hope the burden of expectations won't be too much for him as a Hawkeye.

Another addition benefit, if he does live up to they hype.. it will have an immediate and lasting benefit to pg recruiting. A top ten pick would guarantee a minimum $5m rookie contract and much higher $$$ second contract.
Ya…i don’t think the moments getting to big for him. Kid is as calm and collected as you’ll find.
Combination of hard work, coaching, and talent…probably in that order.
Stirtz should pave the way for future recruiting at the point. I know Ben has had some early misses both in the portal and high school recruiting but still very early in the game. Guys won't come in and play behind an All American who plays 40 minutes a game. Combine Stirtz with Iowa making a splash this season and making the tournament and maybe winning a couple games and the future looks bright.
BIG opportunity AND challenge for him tonight. Looking forward to it.

I'm glad Wagler is highly regarded and hopefully is a pro after this year. Kid is a baller.
