My ticket rep called me and said every season tix holder can get 2 extra tix. When they say the game is sold out is it taking in account that the tix are set aside for season tix holders?

Lol..you beat me to it lol
Those guys will never come back and admit they were wrong.

Seat Geek... $10

Those old posts were mainly about Season TX holders in the 100s. This offer and ticket availability through the AD is for the 300s and Student Section.

Seat Geek foe Rider is $10 for a single ticket well up in the 300s. Multiple tix together are higher but still fairly cheap. The fans obviously feel the team will not be good so hence the low pricing. But not sure why the BOGO offer triggers you guys though.

you can spin it any way you want but I know I made this exact point about the deals and the tix being available upstairs. Mainly means not all were about the 100 level. There were plenty of posters not even admitting that all the Rutgers games weren't really even sold out last year because of the hold backs and dumping on Stubhub.

The triggering is because it's nice to be right once and awhile and and show the "know it all's" on this site they might be wrong once in a while too. But then again been here LOOOONG enough to know it is just easier to ignore or spin it, etc. (don't have any idea of your position or participation in those threads so my comments are not directed at you).

Well its a new year and I'm glad there are seats available to buy. But its also a damn shame that after these years in the B1G and with such highly compensated coaches we're still having to resort to BOGOs and 4 Pack giveaways to fill our football and BBall (8k) facilities.

Let's just hope that the folks going are getting to see some quality play and the RAC gets back to rocking and a true home court advantage.

(morning vent.. :)

Season Tix are unavailable through the on-line site - so RU seems to be definitely holding back some tix for other purposes (i.e. mini-plans and incentives etc). My point was however that these tend to be less optimal tickets up in the 300s. Not being privy to detailed information, I'm not sure how RU accounts for "sellouts" or season ticket renewal rates. What I do see this season however has been consistent with most previous years - ticket mini & incentive plans and single game tix in the 300s being made available. Last season was likely an outlier with all the pre-season hype around high ranked recruits.

Lots of fake sellouts in those 79 games, as many of the OOC cupcake games weren't near to being completely filled. Rutgers calls games "sellouts" because they dump hundreds of tickets on StubHub and SeatGeek, and not all of those seats actually get sold to people that attend the games.

For the Rider game on Wednesday night, there are currently 143 listings for "2 tickets" (so, 286 seats), with the cheapest seat going for $11 dollars. This is not accounting for StubHub or any other secondary market site.
