I think TE's you're probably OK for next year with expected development of younger guys (vonnahme, Burt, Meyer) and Ostrenga probably comes back. I agree with your other 2 completely and I'd add In a good starting caliber Offensive lineman preferably a tackle but really anywhere. Ferentz likes to tinker with OL position. They ain't cheap though.
I keep hearing Meyer is turning heads. Burt seems to miss blocks every time I notice him on the field. Vonnahme looks okay but not a difference maker. I’d just like to see us capitalize on being TEU before we lose that moniker.
I just believe the money is better spent elsewhere. I think the winner of the Hecklinski/Brown battle will be at least adequate.
Interesting take. Isn't Lee a junior literally playing Big10 football today and aren't Godfrey and Watson both underclassmen in the 2 deep? I could be wrong, but I doubt Iowa prioritizes CB's in the portal.

If Lee's a Jr, then my bad, I thought he and Hall were both Sr's. Godfrey and Watson don't strike me as starter material next year, which is why my #1 priority would be CB
I'd rather have Dotzler as a backup LT for Lauck and go out and find a "ready-made" RT and rent for a year.

I'm optimistic with Heckinski seems like was coveted guy out of HS, ruggerio brought him with him and seems to have mobility and more of a playmaker mindset that we definitely need even if leads to some mistakes. Brown was put in a difficult spot when we saw him but seems like more of prototypical qbs we've had. If we can get a qb that's definitive upgrade that's great I'd be hesitant about overeaching for 1 though especially given what they cost
Both of these guys were Tim Lester recruits. I imagine he will want them to duke it out. His track record is ok with Sully and Gronowski so far.
Maybe he can get another year with some of his past eligibility being juco years?

Based on Pavia I think he'd have a case if he wanted to fight for one. But he also plays at Iowa and we as fans can't have nice things.
One more wouldn't hurt, and as mentioned above RVZ is the only "impact" player coming back.
