One of these was Texas Tech, rated 15th preseason. Doesn't seem quite like a 'no name'!

Yeah, Texas Tech is currently about as far from a "no name opponent" as can be.

People are reading a wee bit too much into these scrimmage 'losses'. We're basically talking about what boils down to still just a practice here, only against a different team.

And even if they had won both, so what? It does nothing for the official record for this coming season and I'd rather they 'struggle' in these scrimmages & be peaking about mid-way through the season (or even later) than the other way around.

My hope for this season is that the rest of the B1G has to continually adjust for Ben McCollum’s system - with that comes more wins & a successful defense.
Dare I say McCollum makes a statement in his first year.

a cignetti type turnaround by bmac would’ve been a great thing to behold. the parallels are all there. reputation for fundamentals and perfection, great success at a lower level, brings along his best players to create a team overnight. now it is appearing like final four might not be on the cards this year, we’ll have to be satisfied with less.
