No Arby's here, but I remember it fondly.

56th and 0. They roasted real meat, and shaved it as orders were made.

The joys of being old. I could go on about runzas being real food too, but....

Get off my lawn!

They brought back potato cakes. Still not a fan of the switch to coke. Used to be one of my most frequented restaurants, but was out for a couple of years due to their bad decisions. Now Subway is on my **** list.

Haven’t had them, but Arby’s is probably the #1 fast food joint IMO.
@fbi check this man’s basement, attic, crawlspace, shed, barn, etc. He’s making them put the lotion in the bucket!

lol jk jk I do enjoy their roast beef sandwiches with alllll the cheddar on it. I just couldn’t list them #1 over some Tier 1 establishments (national-ish franchises) like God’s Chicken of Chick-Fil-A, WhatABurger, Five Guys (too expensive now), Freddy’s.

There was an Arby’s just a couple of blocks from my parents house so I ate there way more than I probably ever should have. Heck, that Arby’s is still there to this day. And I remember me and my college buds hitting up Arby’s when they used to do the 5 roast beef sandwiches for 5 bucks deal.

But I never liked their deep voice ‘just the meats’ commercial dude and they totally lost me forever when they started promoting the ‘New York Reuben’ years back. They must have received some flack for it since they eventually dropped the New York from the name, but damage done and I won’t forgive them for it.

plus, steak was not meant to be nuggetized. What a terrible idea.

I like chislic. I’ll try the steak nuggets. Can’t be worse than their “roast beef” finely ground pressed loaf. They’re trying and still better than MickyD’s.

I always like when people are like "Ewwww, fast food, that is gross"

But it is a multi-billion dollar industry and you literally have to be lying if you can't admit that a Big Mac or Whopper tastes good.

I always love the "Well, the burgers I make at home are better" BS too.

Tried them. They were fine. Think burnt ends. I wouldn't get them again, but thats not why I go to Arbys. Something about their beef n cheddar + Arby's sauce + curly fries.

Maybe some of that is nostalgic. Growing up, when they had the 5 for 5, my mom would buy a bunch and we would freeze them (didn't live close to fast food). And when you needed a quick lunch etc get one or 2 out and heat them up.

Big Macs and Whoppers taste like crap. And yeah the burgers I make at home from my own fat steer are WAY better. They don’t need sauces and rabbit food to make them somewhat edible. I’m not claiming to make a better burger than Bob’s bar or the 1/2 pounders the old Bimbo’s in Vermillion SD made, but mine are pretty damned good.

The burgers I make at home are way better, last time I had mcd,s I couldn’t even finish it. Whopper’s are ok if traveling.

The "Fast Food tastes so bad" posters are the same posters that claim their wife is their best friend and the hottest girl they have ever seen.

Hey, it should be about McRib time fwiw 😁
I still get one every year!

I will say this...on a roadtrip there is NOTHING like McDonalds, right of the interstate, piping hot fries, two burgers and a coke (or cock, if you are into that),

My god that is good stuff.

I really can't think of a fast food burger I don't like. Royale w/cheese, Wendy's, BK whopper w/cheese....Runza, even DQ..all good.

If I had to choose a fave though, flame broiled Whopper all day baby!! I don't even care I barfed my last one up in the back yard immediately after I ate it last year, tasted awesome goin down.

I have not tried the steak nuggets and probably won't. I don't expect them to be around long, because it's really hard for fast food chains to sell any beef cut (other than ground beef) at a profitable price point.

Arby's had a brisket sandwich a couple of years ago that was pretty darned good, but it disappeared from most locations after the initial promotion. I think most fanchiseees probably took a look at what they would need to charge for it, and took a pass. Good brisket is pricey - worth it, IMO, but pricey.
