Iowa vs Minnesota

Who do you got? I think Minnesota is getting better and better but the last time these Goofs came to IC They had a bitter loss with Cooper getting that BS call on the return so I think Iowa wins by 10/14 points … maybe like 24-10 … I think Iowa is definitely getting better and better on all sides of the ball.

Taylor, injured #1 rb, is now back and had 146 yds vs nebby.
They sacked Nebraska QB 9 times.

I wasn't surprised at all by Minnie beating Nebraska. The margin surprised me. Their lines on both sides are really weak. They can't run the ball. They can't stop the run. They can't protect their quarterback. They were lucky to beat Maryland the week before and Fleck knows how to beat Nebraska.

Nebraska has been giving up huge runs and QB sacks like candy all season long. I don't know how much that game said about the gophers ability to rush the passer or run the ball. I do like their freshman QB, but he's played like a freshman on the road. I expect him to struggle at Kinnick against the Iowa D.

Minnesota defense is pretty good, especially their linebackers. I don't think their secondary and dline is as good as Penn State's. Their offense doesn't scare me at all. I think Iowa plays sound football in all 3 phases and wins comfortably, 27-13.

last week Iowa beat a 0-3 team that was in a tailspin by 1 point while mn destroyed a 3-0 team thought to be on a glorious ascent.
combine the prowess of his team with fleck's desperate desire for a non-tainted win in Kinnick and we are looking at quite a challenge. all iowa hopes rest on wetjen and whether he can take 2 punt returns to the house so that iowa can get credit for at least 1 td.
