I know you all have been awaiting this since March but the GOI (aka I don't know what to do with my time) is back again. I am almost done with the spreadsheet for the whole season but wanted to get this out here since they have started. The Charlotte vs North Carolina Wesleyan was supposed to go yesterday but I see no score from that exhibition game. I will update this post as necessary. See you on November 3!!!

Oklahoma St scrimmages SMU this Saturday at 2pm in Moody. Scrimmage is open to the public in case anyone in Dallas is just dying to watch some college basketball in person. Why all scrimmages aren’t open to the public is beyond me btw

Yeah, it seems like gaining interest for the coming season starting up, & making money off of concessions is only good for the teams playing. This closed scrimmage due to it being two division 1 teams has gone by the wayside since they started doing tv on some of the scrimmages. So let them all be open to the public.

A bit of a correction. Tickets to the scrimmage are being sold via the SMU website. So while technically open to the public, the ponies are making money from the scrimmage from ticket sales

TU scrimmaged UTA this past weekend and won by about 15 points. Source? Some Twitter dude. I know it’s “X” now but that‘s an even more stupid name than Twitter so I can’t bring myself to use it.

That's ok, but I really think they should make it free to advertise the coming season. With concessions they don't lose money by far, and it promotes the season, hopefully getting people to buy tickets during the season.

I'm like 90% certain that they said it was open to the public. If they did say this, they need to analyze what open to the public means. To me open to the public doesn't mean 'if you buy a ticket'. They should have just said tickets go on sale on such and such date.

Oh, I don't think that you are wrong. In fact, I think you are right. They have always told them before. In fact, I thought it odd when they said open to the public. I just thought it was odd they seemed to be changing policy this year.

I called and yes game tomorrow is open to the public I don’t think they have done it in the past
Now to get them to practice their game logistics and get it on espn+ for those of us out of town so we can take a break from the Dogers losing the World Series.

Memphis was downed by the hogs 99-75 last night.

Today we have the following games

East Central at Tulsa
Middle Tennessee at Austin Peay
Centenary College at Tulame

It does look like that you can go to the game tonight at 7 p.m. and that you do have to purchase a ticket lol.

When I went to the game yesterday the ladies at the door demanded tickets luckily I have my season tickets on my phone so I got in. I told them it was supposed to be free yesterday and ticket office had said so but they said they had to have a ticket

I got there 15 min late. I figured since it was free, i probably could walk in any of the doors if they were unlocked. I walked in the 2nd or 3rd door down (towards 11th st) from the ones where there were a couple of ladies manning the doors. The ladies probably saw me walk in those doors from which direction they were facing. Nobody said anything to me as I walked over to the concession area to buy some popcorn and soda. Didn't realize I was sneaking in. They didn't seem to be terribly bothered by it, so I guess they were letting a few in without saying much about it at that point.

When I see OCU I think of Abe Lemons and Oklahoma City University and when they would participate with us in the All-College Basketball Classic.
