Most likely would have been much easier without the brain-dead decision to try a 66 yard field goal. Gave PS life and momentum at half and sucked the juice. out of Iowa

The correct play at that stage is to throw the ball to the end zone and see what happens. We were in a group text and to a man, said "do not try a fg here! That call by Ferentz was not aggressive. It was a mind-numbing, stupid decision. Ferentz does a lot of good things for the program, but game management and situational play calling has never been his strength. (putting it mildly)

Drew has made 55 yarders that would have been good from 70 as they hit the net. Our blocking on every kick has been bad

I have no problem trying that field goal. He has the leg. Just a weird fluke play.

You are crazy. You have to change the trajectory of your kick to make it from that distance. He got a practice attempt and was 10 yards short. The correct play there was to heave it to the end zone and hope for a tip or PI call. That would be aggressive play. Trying the field goal was stupidity.
