I only saw the replay once but he caught that ball near the end zone. Glad it didn't factor into the game...

Looked like the ground assisted the catch. But the whole announcing/production crew was really bad at replays and discussing them.
The X hit on the Wisconsin RB and fumble recovery wasn't discussed at all. They showed that it looked like the knee was down, but the announcers were on another planet. Guess they don't have the technology to get in their ear and say, this play is close and you should probably discuss the knee being down and look at it in slow mo.

I thought he caught it. Seems like they replay tons of stuff, but not that one?
I thought it looked like a catch too from what they showed but he didn't protest it at all to refs or his coaches so he must've known it hit the ground.

If it had been reviewed, I believe it would have been ruled a catch.
I don't see definitively that it wasn't a catch. But the way they ruled it I'm also not sure they would overturn it. At the very least they could have taken a look. They do for the most minute obvious things and this was just "well nothing to see there."

luckily the call didn't matter in the end.
I thought he had his fingers under the ball and caught it. It was close. The ball bounced up a bit but did it bounce off the ground or his fingers. They must have had a microscope to overrule that catch.
This is an excellent view of the play and a lot better than the broadcast which looked like it was shot from the rooftop of the Wisconsin Field House.
After seeing this angle, I’m good with the call on the field of an incomplete pass.
That play by play guy was trying way too hard to be Gus Johnson. He was tough to listen to.
Give me Beth Mowins or Pam Ward all day.
He knows the game, unfortunately he spends the whole time trying to convince the listeners.....
