My wonderful wife, last nite..brought up something about Rhule I thought was very interesting (she's never been a huge football fan but roots for and watches Nebraska and sleeps with me who loves it so she plays along)..

...she watched an interview where he was being asked about why the coaching staff showed up to watch band practice...said his answer was really great and she's a band fan, and it won her over and she was really impressed with him after that...

....if he was to win here, and he's on track, I wonder if he'd leave for PSU. My wife sure seemed to think he loves it here and loves what comes with the job, that a lot of other coaches hate.
I think Matt has been about making money. No knock against him. That is a good quality to have. If PSU offers him more money he will be gone in a heartbeat. Either way I think Matt is about to make more.

Disgraced once successful coaches with substance abuse history are kind of a big commodity right now. We have one at OC. I assume he gets elevated if Rhule leaves.
I already texted my Husker friend who was the first to text me Franklin was fired if Rhule goes to State College then just elevate Dana.

The only reason Rhule "sort of" made Husker fans happy is because it was after Frost and all the fake stories...and Trev hired him

Otherwise, Rhule basically came here with the same hype as Riley did.
That's not true at all. We bid against no one for Riley. No one wanted him. Old. Rhule was wanted and mid career.

My only question with Rhule is not about the PSU job. But rather if he leaves in the next few years (or this year). It tells me he likes the process of building a winner. Not being a winner. Which is fine but he shouldn't go to PSU at that point. Instead he should go to constant losing programs and rebuild them. Because the reason his record is pretty average is he never stays in one place long enough.

Besides the fact that Penn state needs to hire someone who beats ranked teams.

Can you imagine Penn State fans sitting there being like well we got to wait 3 years before we are good and 2 years until we win a bowl game.

If record is a deal breaker for you, have you seen Matt Rhule’s record?

Rhule took over 3 train wrecks and didn't stay too long at the first two. Lets throw out year 1.

Rhule is now 26-13 at temple. That's pretty ******* good at temple.

Rhule is now 18-9 at Baylor. Again, pretty good.

Rhule is now 12-7 at Nebraska. Not great, but certainly better than the last two guys and appears to be on the upswing.

So now Rhule is 56-29. So he's now a .666 coach, instead of a .500 coach. Makes a pretty big difference.

Dana gets worse at WV, as his first year record of 10-3 was tied for his best season. He took over a team with a bunch of established players - Geno Smith, Noel Devine, Tavon Austin, Steadman Bailey - so that makes sense.

Dana goes 27-20 at Houston, including 4-8 his last season.

The PSU boards are kind of funny. They rip on OSU and Michigan for being these "dirty programs", okay, great, who cares.

But like, the PSU staff was raping little kids for years. You kind of think they would just shut the **** up and try to NOT rip on other schools for doing things like, paying players or stealing signs. Stealing signs is MUCH better than stealing a young boys innocence and trust.

Let’s throw out the first year so I can make a point and pull sh*t out of my ***. LOL

I’ve never done anything wrong in my life, if you throw out the stuff I did wrong. Cause don’t hold me accountable for anythin but the things I did well. Clown world. Clown world
