Now, what does this mean for Iowa next Saturday? Ped State is now without a head coach or their starting QB.
He's a massive douchebag so I'm sure that doesn't help.Wow. I think this is surprising. He's built up no goodwill in 11 years?
I have to wonder if something else is going on.
Yeah, either they're gonna go UCLA and play like their hair is on fire, or come in flat.crap. PSU will get that new coach boost.
Doubtful. Now PSU will rally and play out of their minds
You think they're going to find someone who goings to win 34 games over a 3 year period like Franklin just did? You're high if you do...Wait. Didn't someone tell them that they can't hire a better coach??? You can't possibly improve after firing a coach.
Definitely puts more pressure on Iowa not to **** it up.I think next Saturday might have just got harder.
For our game? Interim coach and backup QB.crap. PSU will get that new coach boost.
psu might have copied the ucla playbook to resuscitate themselves. they have talented players, do they have the staff equivalent (of ucla) on the benchI think next Saturday might have just got harder.
Right. They do have talented players and nothing to lose. That said, I like our chances a lot more now than I did three weeks ago!psu might have copied the ucla playbook to resuscitate themselves. they have talented players, do they have the staff equivalent (of ucla) on the bench
Worked for Nebraska in 2022 when Iowa had a division title on the line….For our game? Interim coach and backup QB.
Maybe if they had their starting QB, but starting a freshman at night in Kinnick should be a recipe for disaster. Now PSU will rally and play out of their minds

It's actually tougher than you think. Not that I want to excuse that but all of the film and playbook that PSU has is basically thrown out the window. Well, maybe not the playbook but the strategy and tendencies aren't things you can really plan for now.Worked for Nebraska in 2022 when Iowa had a division title on the line….

Judging from what I've heard on various media and the general vibe I've gotten over the last few years and from people who know him, he doesn't seem like a really nice guy off the field. Unfortunately, a lot of the traits that make you a great division 1 football coach also make you a complete a-hole in other aspects of your life. I guess he would pull press credentials of media members who wrote stuff he didn't like so they tended to not write negative things. Evidently there were plenty of people writing negative things today though. What a bunch of reactionary weiners. Did everyone all worried about this think the game was going to be an insta-win before a head coaching change? Also what good does it do to get your panties in a bunch as a fan? If you're attending the game, be loud and make Kinnick the nightmarish hole it is known to be. Otherwise take a deep breath and relax.
OK, but if PSU turns into UCLA....What a bunch of reactionary weiners. Did everyone all worried about this think the game was going to be an insta-win before a head coaching change? You haven’t been paying attention then. He’s outwardly hostile to their fans, even flipping them off at times. He’s got many issues beyond that as well.Wow. I think this is surprising. He's built up no goodwill in 11 years?
I have to wonder if something else is going on.
It happens more than you think.Doubtful.
Yeah but Kirk intentionally made sure we lost that game so that we wouldn't get embarrassed again in the BTCG.Worked for Nebraska in 2022 when Iowa had a division title on the line….

"What does it mean for Iowa?"
???
It means Iowa has a ballgame to try to win
Wow. The level of stupidity in here never changes. So Iowa is PSU or OSU level team with those expectations, correct? So lets see, PSU is ranked 2nd to start the year loses to Oregon, then gets punked by an 0-4 UCLA team with numerous coaching blunders. (BY the way, I'd still chill about UCLA beating this mess, and a pretty bad MSU team). Then they play at home in a must win if they think they could still be in the playoffs, an get beat by NW (in what should have been a 9 point loss, as NW kneeled down instead of running into the endzone before the clock expired), and you think thats the same thing as Iowa? Okay then.....Wait. Didn't someone tell them that they can't hire a better coach??? You can't possibly improve after firing a coach.
