Anybody else suspect they are trying to spend and play their way into an SEC invite?
They already have been.can't blame them for trying
the big 12 is gonna get left behind soon
As 83 Hawk said, king of the midgets. Also, they can buy a team but they still don't bring much of a TV market with 'em.If you've got a billionaire sugar daddy willing to throw around bags of cash you might be better off being in the Big12.
Good point. The SEC (or Big Ten) isn't going to admit anybody who makes a member's piece of the pie smaller. As 83 Hawk said, king of the midgets. Also, they can buy a team but they still don't bring much of a TV market with 'em.
As long as Big 12 gets an invite to CFP then smart to stay there and buy conference championships
Especially if you are the team with the deepest pockets and can buy talent at will.Absolutely. It is something they all can sell. It is a great point for ISU now. Just have to get a seat at the table any way possible.

a lot of oil money in west texasI think Texas Tech is going to just keep spending that cash and dominate the little 12 for as long as the conference gets a playoff invite.
Pretty sweet setup, if you have bottomless pockets like they do right now.
Don't think the SEC would bite. They already have the top two in Texas, so no beneficial add and I don't think UT or aTm would be in favor either.Anybody else suspect they are trying to spend and play their way into an SEC invite?
The Big Ten presidents would consider adding Texas Tech to be hilarious.But...it would be beneficial for the Big Ten to get into Texas, but I don't think Tech's culture matches what the Big10 desires.
Not this year.the problem with tech is they go in spurts, sometimes successful, sometimes not. always seem to have high powered passing attack. but not really a defense
