Lol at the reporters thinking they were getting clever, and feeling their oats a bit, with the Grono grilling, after it had already been pretty obvious, if you listened to what KF had previously said, that Grono is playing (barring a setback)

I don't think we've reached the train wreck stage yet but things seem potentially pointed in that direction. We don't know enough yet but we have all seen this movie before and it doesn't end well. I have a positive outlook on life and will hope for the best. History tells me however not to trust Kirk when it comes to QB management.

Injured Gron will struggle with little mobility. Wiscy will stack the box on D and passing will be 5-7 yard quick hits to get the ball out and prevent Gron from getting tackled. Kirk will be reluctant to switch QB's until way too late in the game. SSDD.

wisconsin treats this like a bowl game. unfortunately, so does iowa: lose to mizzou, lose to wisky

I want to be moving down from the upper deck to the lower deck by 3rd quarter
this is a classic game where iowa loses, has a bye week, then comes out swinging. it could go either way. wisconsin is not the same old wisconsin. iowa, if they have gronk, and healthy, could go in there and get it done. I've just been trained to expect the worst. then when they win I eat crow and love the taste.

Years ago, I witnessed Hayden taking one of his better teams to Camp Randall, scoring late in the 4th for a 10-7 win. Things generally don’t come easy for UIowa in Madtown.
Before that, in about ‘69, I watched UIowa take a 17-0 lead into the 4th Q only to piss it away and end Bucky’s long losing streak that afternoon.
Those are two examples of “easy victories” the Hawks should have enjoyed at Wisconsin.
