The back up came in on the final drive, when AM helmet came off, and threw a great pass
Funny thing is.. I am not sure he had to come out.. they could have argued.. D pulled his helmet off. Or is that an NFL thing. I thought maybe, just maybe, Texas took that shot to get Manning off.
Unless there's a whole bunch of other Mannings that Texas can recruit I'd bench him. Nothing to lose. Maybe platoon QBs.. take some pressure off him... it doesn't look good on him.
AM doesn’t look good and that’s all the more reason they need help in the ground game but they didn’t get it today.
From what we’ve seen so far this year, they can’t put the game on his back (arm).
Don’t know if you guys used to listen to Steve Czaban back in the day but he has a podcast and a regular guest - Andy Pollan has argued AM is smoke and mirrors. In particular he has cited his production on the bball court as an indicator. Most stud/can’t miss athletes who play another sport excell at that sport as well given their superior athleticism bu apparently AM didn’t start for his bball team and averaged around 2pts/game.
Found that to be very interesting take - and may be further evidence that the kid is physically gifted but can’t put it all together.
