I'd be interested to see how much money the federal government has spent on this single individual who has been on a deportation order for yearsYou sure do get excited about making the rest of the world hate and mistrust us. Shame on this administration and anyone who supports it.

He got his due process. You happy now? Can we deport him?Has he added a Calibri font MS-13 tattoo to his other hand yet?
If that is what the proceedings rule, sure.He got his due process. You happy now? Can we deport him?![]()
I might be wrong, but as I understand it, Abrego Garcia has the right to appeal the last decision. I don't think he got any special treatment- in this instance. He got his due process. You happy now? Can we deport him?![]()
Well by all means let’s make sure he receives the white glove treatment. Don’t want any of my liberal pals getting wrecked over his rights. Gotta keep those illegal, child trafficking, gangbangers safe.I might be wrong, but as I understand it, Abrego Garcia has the right to appeal the last decision. I don't think he got any special treatment- in this instance.
Yea I thought it was embarrassing watching grown men fawn over an illegal alieb gangbangers rights but to each his own.If that is what the proceedings rule, sure.
I was mainly just poking fun at one of the more embarrassing things I've seen, and I was an adult for the Biden administration.
Don't think I've fawned over anyone, but a fully grown adult looking at those tattoo pictures with the M S 1 3 clearly added on and not understanding they were not the actual tattoos but rather intended to be a "key" of sorts is one of the silliest things I've seen. It's ok to agree and still think he should be deported.Yea I thought it was embarrassing watching grown men fawn over an illegal alieb gangbangers rights but to each his own.
It seems to me that if you're here illegally you should be subject to deportation. The problem is when we let them stay pending a hearing they are given legal status. That could be a couple of years and if they're denied they can drag it our longer with an appeal. He got his due process. You happy now? Can we deport him?![]()
I am fully down for a bipartisan immigration reform. It seems to me that if you're here illegally you should be subject to deportation. The problem is when we let them stay pending a hearing they are given legal status. That could be a couple of years and if they're denied they can drag it our longer with an appeal.
In Garcia's case he didn't qualify for asylum because he didn't file a request within the required time. So the suspected MS 13 member appealed because gangs back in El Salvadore would kill him. Then he appealed deportation to other countries for the same reason. These things can go on forever at tremendous cost to the government. Illegal immigrant advocates who support this are essentially saying that we shouldn't be allowed to enforce our laws.
What's the compromise? It seems to me that illegal is illegal.I am fully down for a bipartisan immigration reform.
I mean, you described a lot of legal things that take time, and described services/legal descriptions, etc that are all legal issues that could be in bills. For a start, the last bill that was proposed put significant money and man power to speeding up all that process, get more judges etc, to get people hearings faster. What's the compromise? It seems to me that illegal is illegal.
The only thing I might agree to is increasing the number of people we allow into this country legally and some sort of path for those who are already here. But to me if you want to apply for asylum you present yourself at a legal port of entry and you wait outside the country while you case is being heard.
who isn't. It's just the definition of "immigration reform". For example I'm all for allowing undocumented folks, not on the state dole, stay if they have a job, pay taxes and have no criminal records. They can have a work Visa, but no citizenship. If they want citizenship they go to back of line and follow all the rules relative to obtaining citizenship. Give Dreamer Visas to stay. If parents are undocumented same rules as above apply.I am fully down for a bipartisan immigration reform.
I mean, all elected officials apparently. Seems both sides just want to run on the issue.who isn't. It's just the definition of "immigration reform". But democrats and likely some republicans won't agree. democrats want path to citizenship. Republican won't accept that. We already see the Democrats position on deportations, republicans won't accept Democrats positions. And it goes on from there.
All the while letting in 5,000 more folks a day.I mean, you described a lot of legal things that take time, and described services/legal descriptions, etc that are all legal issues that could be in bills. For a start, the last bill that was proposed put significant money and man power to speeding up all that process, get more judges etc, to get people hearings faster.
Edit to add: honestly, a lot of what Trump is doing would've been easier and quicker had the bill passed.
"Encounters" does not equal letting them in.All the while letting in 5,000 more folks a day.
Think it gave the president the ability to cut it off as well. Seems he still could do what he is doing now but with more agents, more judges, etc.All the while letting in 5,000 more folks a day.
I don't think so. Just think how much time and expense we're incurring with the Maryland Man who never even applied for asylum until after he was caught.Seems he still could do what he is doing now but with more agents, more judges, etc.
I don't think so. Just think how much time and expense we're incurring with the Maryland Man who never even applied for asylum until after he was caught.
I'd starve them out with strict enforcement of e-verify and elimination of all government benefits. They'll leave on their own if they can't work and they can't collect benefits.
- 15 million asylum trials
- 8 million appeals
- chasing down people who are denied asylum but refuse to leave
Sure, all of that could be part of a bill.I don't think so. Just think how much time and expense we're incurring with the Maryland Man who never even applied for asylum until after he was caught.

"he would be fine with deportation to Costa Rica who have promised they won't send him to El Salvador, but the US won't do that."What's funny is that he has repeatedly said he would be fine with deportation to Costa Rica who have promised they won't send him to El Salvador, but the US won't do that.
The only reason that they won't is they want to punish him?

Justice Department's request to pause Kilmar Abrego Garcia's immigration case denied by Maryland federal judge

"he would be fine with deportation to Costa Rica who have promised they won't send him to El Salvador, but the US won't do that."
So now we let criminals determine their punishment?
You/I are convicted of a crime, but we get to dictate the terms.
We have to punish him?We want to deport him.
He is scared of going to El Salvador.
He has stated he will willingly go to Costa Rica.
We have to punish him?
Just seems like the government is trying to punish him for embarrassing them.
We have to punish him?
Isn't that part of committing a crime?
He is scared of going to El Salvador. He didn't think about that before he committed the crime.
DAMN you people are stupid.
Cruelty, plain and simple. Uganda might even be less safe than El Salvador but that's the whole point with this administration. So why in the world won't the admin deport him to Costa Rica as he has requested?
They are insisting on sending him to a small African Nation across the world.
Make that make sense.
you might be right. But everyone in the country knows we need to do somethingI mean, all elected officials apparently. Seems both sides just want to run on the issue.
I mean, agreed.you might be right. But everyone in the country knows we need to do something
see, we're not too far apart in our thinking. We disagree on some things and agree on others. That's the American wayI mean, agreed.
We want to deport him.
He is scared of going to El Salvador.
He has stated he will willingly go to Costa Rica.
We have to punish him?
Just seems like the government is trying to punish him for embarrassing them.
I don't agree with letting him pick where to go, but sending him to a country that none of us even know where it is, seems a little off to me.^^ thinks we should let Maryland man call his own shots ^^
Nah, we good. go to Uganda.
