Ok, my answer is "no".

Your answers to my questions?
I'd prefer 21-21 because at least it means our offense has a pulse and in the event of needing a late game drive to get a win I'll have a little more confidence in our ability to pull one off, unlike the last umpteen years when we've have zero ability to pull off a successful two minute drill.

BF has everything to do with this thread because you started this thread and for years you've been the most ardent BF defender on this site.

I think the entire purpose of this thread you started was to imply that we'd be better off with BF as our OC.

Paragraphs:

1. I'd prefer a defense that, in the event of having a lead, can be counted on to hold it.

2. Not a BF defender here. Have only called out fans for being clueless. There’s a difference.

3. Why would you think such a thing? 🤣

Yeah, you called fans who wanted him gone or criticized him clueless. Lol. You were one of those who were trying to educate everyone about how having the worst offense in FBS football was actually a good thing. Lol. Total BF bootlicker.

I get that it can be challenging without the benefit of face-to-face interaction. But when you actually have a clue what people are talking about, you'll find you mischaracterize them far less

Yeah you've tried leaning on that one a little too much. I read fine. That's why I know you've had your head up BF's arse for many years and now are just bitter that our offense is showing a bit of a pulse with him gone. Lol.
Read better.

I've stated many times that:

1. I didn't care for Brian, as an OC, and from my underinformed position, didn't think he had a great feel, as a playcaller.

2. From my underinformed position, it seemed to be a mistake to have BF as QB coach.

3. From my underinformed position, everything points to TL being a better OC than BF.

Triggered reading leads to misinterpretation.

Triggered reading, combined with a lack of common respect, leads to mischaracterization

You thought Iowa was going to score more points and potentially lose last night, and you jumped the gun with this thread. Iowa kept scoring, and they made defensive adjustments and won the game by multiple scores. Now you’re trying to spin it around, and nobody is taking you seriously

Lol. Nice try. I remember those threads and your posts. The second someone criticized BF it was like a Bat Signal went up in your world and you were on the spot defending him. Now you're just lying to try saving some face. Pretty sad look for you.

AGAIN, nowhere in the thread did I mention thinking Iowa was going to lose.

AGAIN, I've mentioned in this very thread, having had my 2nd largest wager of the year on Iowa last night.

AGAIN, read better

No, you are again out of line calling me a liar. Get a clue man.

You know know darn well the Beacon archives haven't been transferred over to provide such links.

How about the people who have told us they've quit watching? How does that happen with a program that has been more consistently successful than nearly every non-blue blood, and even some blue bloods? Cleary their priority was being entertained by a certain type of product.

How about the people who criticize after wins?

How about the people who habitually criticize a consistently successful program over decades? If winning is their priority, they sure don't show it
We can criticize after wins over mediocre teams. We really never criticized the defense or specials, just the horrible offense that kept mediocre teams in the games with us, and left our defense languishing on the field against Penn State, Michigan, Ohio State, Iowa State even Nebraska in 23.

Worst poster on this site ainec
And he thinks he’s so much smarter than everyone else. What a maroon.

He reminds me of the guy on Major League arguing the ball was hit too high to be a home run but it was still a home run….

I'd prefer both (an offense that can get a lead, a defense that can hold the lead, and an offense that can regain the lead in the event that they play an elite caliber opponent like an Ohio State, Georgia or Oregon who can actually score points even on elite defenses.............), and both are attainable.

I'm sorry you feel differently. Maybe if you watch more football you won't be so uninformed to think otherwise. 🙂

Instead of reading better, maybe you should watch better. Thanks for playing. 😉

"Both" was not an option.

That does not mean "both" are not attainable.

Still a very simple question if you care to give an answer

So you're basically asking people if they'd rather have a good offense or a good defense. In your world, having a decent offense and a good defense isn't possible. Lol. The other guy put it quite well. Give me 21-21 because PP is a great DC who can make adjustments and shut the other team down, which is exactly what happened on Friday. And our offense kept scoring points in the 2nd half.

Nebraska '23? You mean the game where we lost both DeJean and our QB in the first quarter? That game. The ONLY time Nebraska has won in the last 10 years?

Comments heard during the Eagles/Rams game:

"You have to use the pass to set up the run. This is 2025 not 1975..." Paraphrased...

"The defense is so much better when the offense starts doing things. It is hard for the defense to get in a rhythm when it is 3 and out, 3 and out turnover, three and out...by your offense."

But hey...what do they know?

Question is Iowa a mediocre team? That's seems to be the general consensus on here. Is it?

Also it should be fair to criticize the complainers when the Hawks win. Fair?

@eyesofhawk not sure why you think this reply is funny.

I'd like to think the Hawks can score in the 4th when needed when they have 4 downs to get a first.

I'd also would like to see the offense with 2 minutes left in the game be able to get a first down to be able to take a knee and watch the clock run out.

For the last 3-4 years you could count on 1 finger the number of times they did this. The Hawks would go 3 and out and punt giving the other team a minute and a half to score. Freaking sick of that.

Are you the poster formerly know as cmhawk99, because you're just as annoying and the schtick is identical.
Don’t know this for a fact but I’m pretty sure that was his other handle on HB, although I wouldn’t rule out that they are lovers. Both handles were pretentious, condescending jerks not nearly as smart as they thought they were.
