I’ll reserve judgment for when we play the top competition.

He was not great against ISU

Personally, we should have saved the $ or spent it on other positions. WR, CB

You spend 1-2 million thinking it gets you to playoffs…

Could shock the world but we spent the $ for 6-8 wins
I’m glad you are not in charge of the money. Do you even enjoy when we win or is the loses that really make you happy?

First drive had one drop by Phillips, not two. On the long pass to Anderson over the middle the pass was short and then Anderson was tackled before the ball even arrived. It was a blown PI call.
It was a very catchable ball. Might have been PI but as the game progressed, these refs were very consistent and allowed defenders and receivers to compete for passes.

Watch it again. I have multiple times and it was egregious. He was being ripped down to the ground by his neck well before the ball arrived. The pass was also short and late. Otherwise it probably would have been a TD as Anderson had a couple steps on the defender.

Yep… but that was typical of how they game was called all night long.
it’s not a penalty until the ref throws the flag. Conversely, they let Iowa manhandle receivers (hand check) all night long and only called them twice. These refs I thought did an excellent job most if the game. Very consistent.

I disagree. You HAVE to throw the flag on that play. It was about as bad a PI as you'll ever see.

Winning on the road, in the B1G, is tough. If you aren't Ohio State and perhaps Oregon, this statement applies. Especially with weird circumstances. Friday game. Late start. Jet lag. This was an impressive win.
