Rhule playing 4d chess letting the RB score fast from 70 yards out so they would have enough time for that hail mary.
There was no reason to not try a Hail Mary there. Nothing to lose unless he was strip sacked which was run back for a TD.
Fair assessment, but it still took us to take the time out and decide to take a shot at it, still took Dylan to make the throw, and still took Jacory to catch it in a group of 5 defenders… you can’t even counter focus on the one bad thing, or you can focus on the many good things
Refer to my response to dinglefritz you can focus on the “nothing to lose” or the focus on the good… those two responses just goes to show some of you are so up your own asses that you’ll be angry about anything
Also took Michigan’s coach being too dense to call timeout and make NU punt. Idiotic move, and the Huskers capitalized.
Bad coaching was Michigan not calling time out and forcing us to punt
Rhule is going to have to have a very serious heart to heart with Dylan and Dominic about the status of Donnie as OL coach. It may end up costing Rhule his job.

Nobody is being let go. Win or lose against Michigan this team is going to win 6-8 against our soft schedule and play in another bowl game. Barring injuries we are going to have an exciting and mediocre team, which is better than what we have had for the last 10 years. It is hard to lower expectations but being the worst power 4 team for a decade should do the trick.
I’m not saying it’s gonna cost Rhule his job this year. But a bad OL loses you more games than it wins you and it’s a matter of time before he needs to address it. Shying away from it because he’s family of his prodigal QB recruit is a death sentence.
This game is still in reach as incredible as that sounds as hard as it has been.
