This defense is cheeks. Basically have to rely on our offense to outscore other teams which isn’t a winning strategy with Captain Fossil.
The D left a lot to be desired but the O just put up 38 in a conference road win, even with a missed field goal.
7-5 probably. 8-4 if USC was at home.

What I am thinking is that you started your poll too soon. The defense needs to keep improving and I hope the offense can be like tonight
If #11 keeps improving, I still think Iowa can win 6 or 7 games this year.

We’re beating IU, Minnesota, Michigan St and Wisconsin. Nebraska game a toss up but I always feel pretty good about it. We’re losing to Oregon, Penn St and USC. So 7-5, 8-4.
IU is going to run up and down the field on us next week. We're not winning a shoot out with them.
6-6 to 7-5, your defense is a shadow of what it once was, and Rutgers has a horrible defense, the teams you are going to be facing going forward will shut down the offense.
IU has played absolutely nobody this year. We’ll know a lot more about them after tonight. Look, we’re not great, but Kinnick is worth something and it seems Gronowski is finding his footing. You’re acting like they’re Ohio State. Lose that game and yes, I think we’re looking at probably 6-6. At some point we need to prove we can beat a top 20 team again.
I'm not "acting" like anything. They're averaging 50+ pts/game. We'll know more after tonight. Indiana/Illinois should be a good contest.
We do indeed need to beat a TOP 20 team, but if Indiana loses tonight, they won't be a TOP 20 team. Next week will be big. Let's see if Phil can work his magic and this D continues to improve.
The Rutgers win, coupled with Wisconsin apparently falling completely apart, gives some hope for a 7-5 season.
You think Nebraska is going to be a tougher win to get than Indiana? I know we have Indy at home, but those teams are on different stratospheres....
