If NU can have that 10-2 season and with rated darlings teams like Clemson and ND already losing 2, it could really help NU's chances later in the year. Last I checked S. Carolina was going down to Vandy too.Too bad ND.
I'm gonna reply to my own post. What's really fun......finally.... is paying attention to what happens nationally that could position NU later in the season for a better bowl or even a playoff shot. We haven't been able to do that since milk was 2.99 a gallon. If NU can have that 10-2 season and with rated darlings teams like Clemson and ND already losing 2, it could really help NU's chances later in the year. Check out this doomsday scenario with a 10 way tie in the BIG.
Yeah I could see us getting left out in the cold in that scenario. However, I have mixed feelings as going to a NY6 bowl with a chance to win sounds more appealing than a probable first round playoff exit.In that scenario, I'd say OSU, OU, PSU and maybe USC getting a free pass over a 10-2 NU.
