He’s getting paid regardless. Obviously not doing something right and I’m sure it’s frustrating for all parties.

Sometimes guys with a ton of talent get special treatment but sometimes that special treatment is not always positive for that guy.
I think for him, right now, everything he does/doesn't do is under the microscope. And he might not be able to get out of his own way at the moment.

He is who he is. Playing like he did at Alabama. Inconsistent, penalties, bad habits, but he had a lot of stars in the recruiting rankings so there is that.
Are we sure that he's even any good? It doesn't look to me like he is anywhere near the player everyone was expecting
Physically very good. Mentally needs some work. He’s pissing away a shot at an NFL career.
When is the last time we had a LT play the whole season? I’m just glad we have depth. He’s going to play a lot this year.
My thinking is that NU played portal bingo on an OT because they didn’t have any experienced OTs healthy last winter. Teddy had been on ice for over a year, Corc had a busted hammy, and Gottula was up for surgery. They were for sure pleased to get Pritchett and going into the summer, a lot of the sports scribblers had Lutovsky slated to start at RT, with Pritchett at left. Now it appears there are 4 tackles ready to play, possibly 5 if you count Knaak. Gottula is playing with the most consistency. I haven't heard anything about Teddy, which is probably a good thing, because it means he is doing his job.
Looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane....and it sounds like he's not even sure he wants to be here.
This whole rinse and repeat on these type of players has to end eventually, right? I never wish for these young men to fail, so I root for them to find that thing that flips the switch, if not for now, at least for their future beyond football.

As for tackles, the biggest surprise for me is Teddy starting at RT. Will be very curious what his pass pro looks like when we start playing good teams again. Hoping for the best!
I am more than happy to have Gottula in at LT. Kid filled in admirably last year! Imho, he was one of the most pleasant surprises of 2024. Pritchett’s failure to shine is a hit to 1890, but not to the team. They are fine with Gottula.

The only game tape we have right now is Cincy. Everyone left on our schedule is light years better than Akron and Houston Christian High School.
teddy P played well against Cincy. #77 didn’t. I’d be willing to bet that 77 gets exposed badly next week. He just doesn’t have big boy talent. He SHOULD be playing against Akron and HC High School. That’s his level. #57 is much more talented. hell 57 even made Ives look solid today. Split seconds that guys like 77 and 28 had today and last week, that won’t be there next week makes all the world of difference. Can’t be a slow blinker
I like this team. I like the way this team is coming together. The two things that scare me the most is LT and back-up RB. Save me the Akron and HC High School tape. Those two are good enough to play against sort of talent.
Can they play against USC, Michigan, Penn State, etc… has yet to be seen.

28 has no wiggle or power. Those big holes is all he has going for him.

I expect that 57 will be released from the dog house this week.
He completely missed a block in the second half when TJ was QB. TJ scrambled away and made a gain out of it. I saw Dylan talking to TJ on the sideline and I swear he was pointing out the dogshit whiff by Prichett.
Maybe so. He’s still way better than 77.
77 missed a ton of blocks against Cincy and required a ton of TE help.
The big guys don’t play Rudy’s. We’ve played a lot of Rudy’a these last ten years. We’ve had a lot of losses these last 10 years

We just whiffed on Pritchett. It happens. I also didn't watch a single snap of yesterdays game as I was traveling to Kentucky!!!..., so can somebody tell me if he stopped sucking finally?
This is spot on. I agree with this. They knew what they were probably getting with Pritchett. A talented, mistake prone inconsistent player but he had a lot of experience and would physically hold up against anybody in the Big 10. I really don't think that they would have gone hard after him if the top three tackles were healthy. But he was also a wildcard. What if he suddenly turned it around? Then you would have a NFL draft caliber starting tackle (forget that 1st round draft projection nonsense from early summer, that was only based on his HS rating)
Well ****. You go from starting at Alabama to backup at Nebraska? Nobody is gonna like that, but I bet he minds his P's & Q's so that he can quietly collect those huge NIL checks.
On what possible criteria are you using to say that Gunnar Gottula doesn't have big boy talent? And don't say because some internet guy gave Gottula a lower star rating.
Gottula has enough talent to be a P4 O lineman but he’s a guard if we had better mature OT talent.
