A friend bought a house and found this in his basement. It looks like a game ball, Penn State is stamped into the ball. Anyone have any ideas?

I watched the Fiesta Bowl and I remember peering through the bottom of my beer glass as Pete made the interception. I would recognize that football anywhere. That is that ball!

It's not the ball that Jeremy Boone used for his tenth punt of the day against Ohio State in 2009 as I have that one on my mantel at home. I had to outbid Jeremy's grandmother for it but it was worth every penny.
