Hopefully the plan is to get him some significant playing time next year as we lay the wood to the opposing teams. Getting a quarter or two of playing time in most games.
I originally thought the plan would be to redshirt Lateef this year, especially when he was behind Gandstad on the depth chart. My opinion has changed, I could see him not using a redshirt unless he were to need it due to injury.
He’s no Ron Kellogg III… but we’re never gonna have real QB depth like back then 
Maybe not. We had 5 QBs take snaps Saturday and I’m pretty sure he wasn’t one of them.
I like the current QB room and recruiting. But before we get too excited, the biggest challenge will be the transfer portal.
P.S. I'm glad to see the board is back. My board name is reinstated but not my previous Rivals post count. Although admittedly not a huge deal, is there a way to get the old Rivals post count back?

Nope, and be prepared to go back to Anonymous occasionally. On3 has really botched this.
This is true. There's no way that all of the QB's will "wait for their turn". The room may look a lot different in 2-3 years than we think it will.
The ideal would be a 2-3 year spacing out on QBs that "hit". Older dude starting and taking most of the reps, and at least two QBs seriously competing to eventually replace him. And then the process repeats. Teams that take QB development seriously may prosper in the portal era. Get good QB coaches (NU-check) and get good prospects (NU-check) and then let them compete. Kids will come for the coaching and the chance to compete for playing time and those that lose out on the competition are better players at their next stop. And I think that comes by strong focus on HS recruiting combined with occasional use of the portal. And as along as Holgerson is on the staff, NU should have a decent QB room.
I’m not sure how mine transferred other than with my tech shortcomings I enlisted help from on3’s staff to get onboard. Just don’t try to tell us you’re the “real” Redcap….
You have to wonder in this era of the transfer portal and NIL money how well the Huskers do at keeping these players. I am sure teams will come sniffing around for TJ at the end of the season.
Id be very surprised if they wait until then. The wait its gone teams recruit other teams players all year. TJ is going to have some people in his ear.
I know it was Akron but it's been a minute since we had a duo like this... I could see where there could be times where he's brought in for a situational play or maybe even a series... Almost brings back potential Tommy/Brooke vibes. Thankful we have a Dude back there if the unthinkable happens to DR and we need him

I am doing well. What's your season win total prediction? I'm going with 8-4 regular season, and hoping for a bowl win. I'm glad that we're not playing Wisconsin's schedule this year. That's all I know.

My win total is pretty much in step with yours. I had 7-5 to 8-4. Anything over that I'd be thrilled. Wiscy schedule is a death wish lol.
