I feel like it's one of those things in life that can't be defined. You just know it when it happens.

I know I know, I've seen this movie before. Every 20 years, a bunch of crusaders come along and try to change up everything to do with MSU, and start pumping self esteem into everyone. Happened during the Croom Error and it's happening again now. Guess it just takes those triggering moments, like Jackie's demise and now Leach's death.

Good question. It seems kind of a fatalistic self-loathing that I suppose stems from chronic underachievement. The person you spend the most time listening to is yourself and you can tell yourself some pretty harmful things. Fan bases are no different. I really hate hearing it.

I hope to be able to tell you "congrats" on getting an article in this week's SPS Magazine on Friday.
When you ask such questions, this is the vibe I get from you trying to act like you are a state fan:
The "woe is me" crowd says it. I've never said it and never will say it. I guess it came from when we had shots at NC games and lost. For the most part I'm a glass half full person. I have great memories of my time at State and never want to damage that with negative connotations.
Y'all can try as hard as you want to not Mississippi State, but some of us...
We tried to put the S's upside down on the backside of the south endzone scoreboard back in the day. Yes, our S font has a correct orientation.
Losing to Alcorn State this weekend would be a perfect example.
