That's about the best news you could hope for. I have to admit, I immediately thought achilles. I'm not a Jets fan, but intrigued to see what Glenn does with this team and if things lock in for Fields at this stage of his career.

This marks the 66th year of existence of the New York Jets (and predecessor Titans). They will enter Year 66 with Justin Fields as QB. He will be only the sixth Black QB to start a Jet regular season game. How many of the other five can you name? Every RU fan should know at least one.

Ray Lucas of course and I'll add Quincey Carter, Michael Vick, Josh Johnson and Geno Smith.

That is an excellent answer! Kudos for getting the obscure Quincy Carter, who actually wasn't a bad QB until substance abuse derailed his career.

Josh Johnson and Jeff Blake did play for the Jets (Johnson played for just about everybody) but never started a game. The other starter was the very obscure J.J. Jones in 1975. He started the final game of the season, over Joe Namath.

Wow JJ Jones!!!!! Never heard of him. Had to look him up. Played in 7 games with one TD and 5 INTS. Completion % was 28%.
Did a little research. His only TD pass was to Eddie Bell vs. the Colts.
Good find Worm.

Terrible news for the Jets. Will have a big impact on the OL play, considered a strong point. Luckless organization. The guy is a very good player who cannot stay healthy.

I thought the Jets would be a much tougher and physical team under Aaron Glenn and it was obvious. I think they had close to 200 yds rushing. Justin Fields played very well, he is a big, athletic QB. He is improving as a passer. The difference really was the fumbled return by Gipson. Thought the Jets outplayed them. I think there will be better days a head, maybe not next week (Bills) but soon.

Former Jet fan and I was rooting for Rodgers. Had the 60yd fg missed then a case could be made the curse was over. He made it and that was the way it was suppose to be with Rodgers having a huge day in his returns

Jets gonna Jet

Aaron Glenn postgame comments: "Man, we can't have turnovers... You will not be on the field with this team if you're going to cause us to lose games."

I do hope Xavier Gipson's apartment rental agreement is month to month.
