OT: Penn State to Adidas

Thought this was surprising since Nike have always treated Penn State as one of their top tier programs. Interesting as they join Tennessee I switching to Adidas recently.

Damn.

James Franklin was such a Nike guy at one point he demanded his players refuse the medical staff's advice to tape their ankles because the tape could obscure the swoosh.

A Penn State doc awarded $5.25 million for that one.

This is huge. PSU was a huge brand for Nike. This also gives PSU better options for growing sports like hockey where Adidas still dominates the jerseys. Nike used to own Bauer but sold it off. Adidas used to own CCM but still seem to partner with them.
