I am not sure but I think what you are trying to communicate is Rutgers charges students who attend football games by charging all students a mandatory student athletic fee - no matter if they go to games - instead of selling tickets to students who attend football games.

This is fuzzy thinking.

Rutgers classifies student fees as non-program specific. In other words, student fees have no connection to football or any other sport. They are a way to rake money out of students into the athletic department.

Most B1G schools don't charge mandatory student athletic fees. They don't need to because they sell piles of tickets and bring in a lot of donations too.

Mandatory student athletic fees are spreading though. Last year, Clemson approved a mandatory student athletic fee of $300. That is on top of the $42 per ticket students pay for the lower bowl and $25 for the upper bowl.
Clemson Football tickets are Free when students obtain them on a per game basis.

I would like to see the students switch to the other end zone. When there is a blowout/bad weather and the students leave at halftime, the TV shots look horrible. The general fans usually hang in longer. If the students were in the end zone which is farther from the field , the empty stands would not be seen on TV.

Rutgers can't even replace the 2 faded 3 by 5 faded flags flying over north end zone. (NJ and Old Queens)

Same flags I offered to replace with min 5 x 7 flags out of MY pocket but they refused because they were afraid they'd interfere with antennas that are 10 feet away.

Did they freshen up with same size? F no. Still look like ****.

Joke.
Hmnmm.. I think inviting the AD to your next tailgate can get that done.

And to a much earlier comment by Fat Koko... the students were taking up seats BEFORE the south endzone was built. So they moved from the old student section.. which was roughly 10 yard line to endzone on the west side.. the old "home" side.. (yeah, Schiano trading the shady side for the sun-drenched side for better TV coverage.. never understood that move.. just move the TV cameras).. anyway the old student section gets sold to season ticket holders now... and some visitors. So the south endzone IS generating revenue.

Meh- actions speak louder than words. The Northwestern coach seems like a nice enough guy, and maybe the decision was out of his hands.
Karma is a you know what, and Northwestern got theirs.
The Green Wave had incentive , but also a better team :D
As far as the Uni flap, great builtin board material, but Tulane didn't plan what to wear very well and deflecting the blame to a school that already planned theirs and was expected to find new clothes with short notice they had to change or face the whine .
If Tulane had planned to wear their 2025 road uniforms a few months ago, they should have contacted Northwestern back then.
If it was a spur of moment decision, in August, and they contacted Northwestern right after they thought it was a good idea, Tulane disrespected Northwestern by feeling the Wildcats must change what they wear at the last moment, even though Northwestern had got everything they needed ready for the game.
It's a case of boo hoo I'm a victim by the Tulane HC , instead of admitting their poor planning and demand for accommodation despite it was rejected .
as for the 20 point loss, even though the spread was low NW+5.5
preseason rankings had Northwestern at 86 to Tulane's 45
(from a google search, showing what was thought of both programs going into this season)
>Since 2022, no Group of 5 team has won more games than Tulane (32). The Green Wave ought to again be among the best of the American in terms of talent,<
>For virtually the entirety of this millennium, Northwestern has effectively put the same team on the field -- shaky QB, good defense, smart players -- and watched as the results come up with either 10 wins and a run at the Big Ten or a 3-9 season that's physically painful to watch.

Well given how bad NW appears to be, maybe they've got something in building a smaller stadium.

I read that Northwestern can expand the stadium, but don't know how many seats can be added.
The small seating probably is because of a lack of fans and 35,000 seats won't have as many empties showing if it the stadium seated 50,000.
If the team starts winning and becomes more popular, stadium expands .
But if a loser with many empty seats, maybe board up a section and reduce capacity by 10,000 :D
