Having a big game for Kentucky against Toledo. So far with a little over 9 minutes left in the 4th quarter - 12 carries for 128 yards and a long touchdown run.

And you can f yourself too.Good for him. Yay celebrate with Kentucky fans
He took more money. The new day of cfbWe could use DD this year
I'll wait till the 4th game of the season to assess thisWho came out ahead, Key to NU or dante to UK
They must have found those kind of players in some portal that Rhule doesn't have access to!It’s not fair to compare how a former player plays at a different school. Because at those schools they tend to do two things we don’t, blocking and tackling.

We got our WR coach too. Early results on him look really good.Kentucky bought themselves a good player. In effect, Dowdell was traded for Dane Key.
I somewhat agree. But short term memory people were very down on DD last year. And he had critical turnovers. Now he has over 100 against Toledo. All of a sudden Opinions have changed about him.DD was a huge loss. I get you can't keep everyone all the time, and he's on his third school in 3 years so he was prolly always going to leave at some point, but he was a huge loss. We don't have 2 RB better than him. Maybe 1...
One key word there=TOLEDOHaving a big game for Kentucky against Toledo. So far with a little over 9 minutes left in the 4th quarter - 12 carries for 128 yards and a long touchdown run.

I thought they mentioned in the presser that he was healing and would use Ginny. Maybe we will see him the next couple of weeks?Have there been any recent updates on Ives' injury? Not suggesting he's a world-beater at RB, but late last season he looked like he could be a pretty decent backup.
I am a Dowdell fan. I liked his running style, lots of power, runs downhill and enough wiggle.I somewhat agree. But short term memory people were very down on DD last year. And he had critical turnovers. Now he has over 100 against Toledo. All of a sudden Opinions have changed about him.

The reoccurring negatives on DD last year was his fumbles which I tried to find and didn’t come up with and second, people always thought there was a hole available and he missed it. He had over 600 yards which of us, unfortunately, is pretty good as a part time player.
I am concerned that EJ won’t survive the season as the bell cow and he doesn’t have the power we need inside the 5. If you needed a crucial yard or two, who would you rather have carrying the ball, EJ or DD?
now ponder what things would be like if EJ would have followed through with the portal.
Love Dowdell. He broke Shilo's armI am a Dowdell fan. I liked his running style, lots of power, runs downhill and enough wiggle.

Short term memory. You don’t remember how the board was with DD. I like him but he was hammered in the former board.Yeah i dont remember this fumbling problem either.

Google shows a fumble inside the 5 against UTEP. Another against Indiana. Both lost. He may have had another 1 or 2 we recovered, IIRC.Maybe i am misremembering and maybe i'm not following what yer saying either..i just don't remember him ever fumbling, at all, and some posters make it sound like he coughed up the ball a lot... and I know he averaged over 4 yards a carry.. and he was a TD machine when we got close.
DD was not worth the money we paid him. The problem is we replaced him with nobody.DD was a huge loss. My biggest gripe is that he is not a good rb that made a lot of money at NU.Maybe i am misremembering and maybe i'm not following what yer saying either..i just don't remember him ever fumbling, at all, and some posters make it sound like he coughed up the ball a lot... and I know he averaged over 4 yards a carry.. and he was a TD machine when we got close.
Rhule has no real personal relationship with Holgersen nor Butler. I don't understand this narrative. To the best of my knowledge Rhule had never worked with either one, he only knew of them from other coaches and from coaching against them. That is like saying Rhule and Frost have a personal relationship because they have both coached at Nebraska and both coached in the American Athletic Conference. My biggest gripe is that he is not a good rb that made a lot of money at NU.
We forced DD touchdowns to feed his ego all while sh@tting on our best RB Johnson.
We went from having a trash OC and good DC to a trash DC and good OC.
I've said it once and ill say it again. Rhule will end up like Bill Callahan unless he puts winning over personal relationships.
He got sat pre season as he was fumbling in practice regularly-Fumbled early in game 1 and got sat down again.Maybe i am misremembering and maybe i'm not following what yer saying either..i just don't remember him ever fumbling, at all, and some posters make it sound like he coughed up the ball a lot... and I know he averaged over 4 yards a carry.. and he was a TD machine when we got close.
It took Rhule 1.75 years to figure out Satterfield was a joke. Did you forget about that? Somehow EJ Barthel also still has a job for doing absolutely nothing going into year 3.Rhule has no real personal relationship with Holgersen nor Butler. I don't understand this narrative. I'd take Dane Key any day over Dowdell. Dowdell was a power back with little elusiveness and a weird desire to try to jump at the goal line which never worked (instead of powering through on his legs). Stats against Toledo don't mean a whole lot compared to how he does in his conference schedule. EJ emerged as the better RB and I feel we needed more speed to complement the one area that EJ doesn't fill - breakaway speed.DD was a huge loss.
