Lol, you were wanting to report on jca's 40-30 win over Lyons Township and another great runningback in the hilltopper camp.
Rice Frosh 56 - Valpo - 0
Rice Sophs - 49 Valpo 21
I think Marist Frosh beat Rita Frosh 34-26 - not sure on Soph score

Not in the Blue, but close enough.
Frosh: Marist 36, Rita 26.
Soph: Marist 21, Rita 20.
In the Frosh game, Marist was up 29 - 26 late in Q4. I believe Rita was at Marist's 25 yard-line, and pushing forward. Very impressive Rita QB threw towards endzone and a pick-six ensued. Great game. Both teams looked very good.
Both teams had good size--something Rita has been missing at the lower levels the last couple of years.

Idk how many sophs are up on varsity for MC, but Loyola has a ton of their best sophs playing major roles on varsity. Good score for me.
I’m hoping Loyola is playing a few on sophs, due to how many sophs are on varsity but I have no idea.
MC has Jack Elliott's little brother Thomas as the Freshman QB and he was pretty impressive I'm told.
As far as Freshman getting moved up to Sophomores, I don't see the point. Freshman level is probably more competitive, Sophomore level is watered down a bit. If they are that good as a Freshman, like Caleb Tucker or Marshaun Thorton was for MC last year, move them to Varsity, if not, let them play with their new classmates their Freshman year.
I’ve never seen Loyola play a freshman on varsity outside of McKinley returning kicks in the playoffs last year.
