Stone looked absolutely shell shocked on the sidelines after that fourth interception. He’s really regretting coming to school that’s not going to put talent around him.

He’s getting paid big bucks to play like crap.

At least Hunter Johnson was CHEAP.

Even given that, some of his throws have been inexcusable.

The OL looks better than last season… but let’s see how they do against Oregon. 🦆

Frank Covey can’t ******* catch and the fact that our fans talk about him like he’s fast is telling of how lacking in talent we are. The new coach should tell the entire WR room to hit the portal.

Covey is horrible. Stone is having a horrible day, but he gets the ball out on 4th and 22 and Covey drops a sure first down. Terrible

Stone made a GREAT throw on 3rd and 23 and it was just dropped.

Stone has obviously not been good today but I don't think he's the problem. On most of the called pass plays the receivers haven't been open and then when he does make a good play like this, it's dropped. The problems run deeper than a single player.

One positive: the defense has gotten stops the 2nd half. Tulane is playing a bit vanilla this half, too, but they aren't imposing their will. The defense has done what they needed to keep us in the game, but alas the offense is thoroughly inept.

Bench Covey. Like, fully punitively. He can earn his way back in the field over the next few weeks. Culture has to change.

Was Stone injured in that first play of the game? Maybe that’s why he’s been throwing so terribly today?
