Yup…Talented kid BUT losing EVERYONE up front isn’t easy for anyone, at ANY level of play, ever. Especially G1.
Defense will bring the B1G MAC attack. Navarro will get eaten live like a McDonald's burger.

He must be entertaining. Big run for a TD, then a fumble on a swarm tackle the next possession.

….then he lost his HC, all 5 starting OL and his starting TE in the offseason. It’s an entirely different ballgame.
This.
Stop him and the transfer RB and we win this game easily.
Our LB and Safety play ( Elad and Kaj Sanders) will need big plays.

Last year’s records don’t mean dick. One team lost 16 starters and the other lost 18 (IIIRC) you ******* idiot.

We are FANS we can take anyone we want “lightly” so long as everybody on the sideline isn’t SMDH!
True.
Put the reload in perspective
Ohio’s best OL is Rhodes . He was on our Roster last season and couldn’t make the 2 deep on our OL.

Based on the game logs from last year and the highlights, he is certainly much more of a threat with his feet than his arm. He throws a lot of interceptions. Containment and discipline by the defense will be extremely important.

Best prediction on the boards for this game. What happened last night was exactly what you said. We just couldn't contain him so we had to rely on our offense keeping possession of the ball to win.

Ohio is using Navarro similar to the Bills and Giants with Allen and Daniel Jones. They set up a play that looks like it's a pass, then when the middle field is open they attack with a QB run. Very difficult to stop even for good defenses. Hard to be mad at RU for this when Ohio was playing legitimately good and is well coached.

That being said, we need to develop our defense more. Not just the players, but that part of the program as a whole. It's gonna be on Schiano to make some mid season adjustments so we have a at least a functioning defense in the B1G games.
