2A Girls Outlook

Region 2D girls got underway tonight. Ridgeview and defending state champion Gate City both looked impressive winning their quarterfinals tonight by 50 and 41 points respectively. Ridgeview has undefeated Marion at Marion on Wednesday night while Gate City will host the winner of Wise Central and Virginia High.

What's the rest of the state looking like? Did traditional strong teams like Floyd and Martinsville have seasons? Did Luray, the other defending finalist, have a season? If so, did they return all their players from last year?

Hey no problem!

I really haven’t been into high school sports like I usually am due to the virus - plus so many schools not playing, and the ones that did play only playing a partial schedule.

But I‘m glad they were at least able to play some though.....and safely!

Yes they are top seed in their region.

I have a separate thread.

They shouldn't have any problem with their region, to be honest.

Last time I checked, they were 12-0 on the season.
