Eastside at #2 even losing their best players? Is 1A down or is Eastside really that good? Region D should have a couple good teams with Eastside, JIB, and supposedly Chilhowie has a good team. Thomas Walker isn't bad either.

Eastside only has 1 loss and that's to an out of state team. They obviously dont have the height of last year but still have weapons and Powers is one of the best shooters in the state. Eastside beat JIB by 2 last week. Chilhowie has been up and down. They started the season without their point guard but he is back now. Grundy out West only has 1 loss and has a big guy in Looney who is very good. In my opinion it's Surrys to lose. One loss by 1 to a good private school and another to a 5A school by 2 without their best player. I do think all four regions should have competitive regional tournaments this year though as there are multiple teams in each region who it would not surprise me to see them make states. It will come down to matchups and who is playing the best at that time.

As for Thomas Walker, I don't know much about them, but Eastside beat them by 46 and JIB just beat them by 36 tonight and I think they've only won like 3 games or so.

I was thinking about Twin Springs, who at one point almost always fielded a competitive team, no idea why I mentioned TW. Can't remember them ever being competitive.

Ironically one of Thomas Walker's wins was over Twin Springs. Lol. I think TS is like 5-8.

Riverheads should be higher on the list. They play a schedule much tougher than most of the teams in the top 10

They do play a tough schedule but at this moment, I cant honestly say that they are better than anyone that I have listed in the top 10.

With Eastside dropping a close game against 2A Union, would you drop them very far?

Probably not. Burton lost to them as well and despite Union's record, they've played very well as of late. Eastside is still one of the top teams in 1A.
