GW-Danville beat NC state powerhouse Winston Salem Prep last night 72-61. Isaiah Bethel led GW with 18 while juniors Amardius Jones and Pat Robinson had 13 apiece. Solid win for the Danville boys. We'll see if they can keep it up Monday night as Carlisle comes to town. Tip off is at 7pm, but if you plan to attend, come to the JV game at 5:30 as it is an anticipated sell-out..Next couple weeks big for GW. Carlisle Monday, at Halifax Friday (18th), and then Dan River or Martinsville or possibly both in the R&B Shootout (28-30) at Averett.

Only six teams in the shootout this year. Reidsville and Eastern Alamance each have first round bye, GW will face Westover, Dan River faces Tunstall. Winners play Reidsville & EA. Martinsville and Magna Vista both pulled out.
Bummer. Would love to see a GW/Dan River final. (IMO) the best 2a team in the state against a top 3 4a team in the state. Should be a great one.
