I attended the Beacon Classic and we only had 2 real practices before entering that event. We played Heritage and it looked like our guys were still on the football field. Lost by 9 points, but as many mistakes we made, Appo held it within 5 the entire time. The second day, I seen improvement (big win over Liberty High), but I know Coach Cottrell will have these boys ready before playing Dan River in January. This is a great team that has all the bases covered. I cant wait to see what they do once they get conditioned. Not to mention we didnt have Buster Henderson due to the VHSL All Star game. I got Marquise Morgan having a GREAT YEAR! I got him in the Top 3 to be Conference player of the year.
