What is going on with the canes they start the season ranked #9 in 2A and have now lost to 2 teams that are not supposed to be any type of good this season in Northwood and Chilhowie. What is going on in Marion?

They better figure something out before next Friday cause if not the 20-19 loss to Chilhowie and the 18-whatever loss to northwood will be nothing compared to what GW will do to them. I think it will be way worse than the fc game we might hang 70 on them.

I think Marion is in for a long season, unfortunately. I had high hopes for them.

Some Marion posters blamed the refs for their lose at Chilhowie in week 1. I agree there were way too many flags, but both Marion and Chilhowie each had 19 flags, so I am not buying the cause of the loss was the refs, and not the play of the Marion team. Chilhowie out played Marion, just like Northwood out played Marion this past Friday. I just wonder what their excuse will be for the Northwood loss? Man up Canes, this year's squad just is not as good as last year! The season is still young, and maybe the Canes will improve, or otherwise, yes Marion is in for a very long year. Marion is playing a lot of young players, but so is Chilhowie, who plays very few seniors. My congrats to NW who has 260 students, compared to approx. 700 for the Canes.

I think this years Marion team should have never been ranked in the top 10 to start the season ! They lost a lot from last year and are very young. They may get better as the year goes on, but they were way over ranked. I think most Marion fans would agree with that.

Sounds a lot like Wilson Memorial. The Hornets too will get better each week, but were a little over rated at the start of the year.

I was hoping they would come on like marion has for the past few seasons against GW the last 2 games have been fun to watch. And this is not a knock on marion but if they show up trying to make excuses of why we might beat them or the refs had a hand in on it the game will get out of hand.
