After watching a bunch of the games from state last week, I came away super impressed with the level of play in all classes. Is this the best overall talent, top to bottom we have had on the girls side? There were some great games with great players. I know the bottom of the classes, especially C & D is really bad, but that was a great state tournament.

Classes C & D were the most fun to watch. NBC coming back down from 11, Pleasanton to have seemingly won it only to have Grace Cave make a play going coast to coast, and Ponca and Crofton went back and forth the entire game.
I would say the last 2-3 years have been the best overall play in girls basketball in at least 20 years. Sure there were great players here and there, but nothing like what we’ve seen lately.
The overall quality of girls basketball in the state has taken a huge leap forward in the last 5-10 years.
C & D really bad? Did you watch the games? Both D games featured D1 recruits. Swing and a miss OP.
I believe he meant the bottom teams in C & D are awful, not the entire classes. That's the way I understood at least.
I think he was saying the bottom teams within the C and D classes, not the schools at the state tournament in C and D. I'd agree that there are some extremely talented kids, even D1 recruits in the C and D ranks but also some very low uncompetitive and poor teams at the same time. With so many youth opportunities these days and summer club ball teams the gap from the top to the bottom can be huge in the lower classes.
I was referring to the teams at the bottom of the wildcard points that are winless or only win 2 or 3 games. The teams at state were really good. No swing and a miss
