Boys coach has 2 children under 5 and a 3rd on the way and does not teach, between his family and full time job does not allow him to devote the time to the job that it requires. Girls coach is getting married and moving out of town.

Girls basketball coach @ Perkins County open. Opportunity to grow with a young team and rebuild a program that won a championship 10 years ago. Talent on the way. Need a coach that can be confident and teach leadership in order to make a culture change.

Johnny Miller at Palmyra is moving back to Northeast NE and will be an assistant boys basketball coach at Stuart and selling real estate. His position at Palmyra is now open.

any coach you would like to see take over as head coach? someone who is an assistant or someone who has gotten out of coaching but would be a good fit if they came back?

pretty sure John Miller doesn't have to sell a lot of real estate, he is a hellva coach and teacher who has been at this gig for a very long time, probably just wanted to get closer to home and still be involved, good hire great coach and great person.

Palmyra position has been filled. Zach Wemhoff will be new Head boys basketball and PE. He has been at Allen for the first 7 years of his career.

ALSO* Girls basketball at Hartington public is open and K-12 PE. Marcus Messersmith is leaving for a position at Laurel, not sure on coaching. Peculiar move with the fact he has a loaded team coming back at HPS

Is his wife from that area? If not it seems like a bit of an odd move. Intetesting hire as to my knowledge he hasn't coached basketball and seems like much more of a football guy. At the sametime now might be a good time to bolt from Allen as the future is starting to look pretty shaky there.

Would find it hard to believe he would move to Laurel without a coaching gig? Erwin or Sims stepping down? I'd think he'd get the boys program rolling. They've had some good players and decent teams the last few years but haven't played a lick of defense.

Wemhoff was the head girls coach in Allen for 4 or 5 years.

Wife is from Florida, he was girls head coach for 5 years, and they wanted to get close to Lincoln but stay in a smaller school. Perfect fit.

The revolving door of Wayne girls coaches continues. Has to have been about 6 of them in the last 10 years.

the Wayne program is open, they had a very good coach, and boyd county, Jim Carlson retire. wow
