The scores in football seem to be rising a lot in the last ten years. I know offenses have spread things out and have learned to attack in different ways and that rules favor the offense but I want to know if tackling is still being taught in the FB programs or is it all offense? What are other pples opinions?

Number of plays in a game. If you look, games are now being played with 160-180 plays in a game. Compared to 120-130 just 15 years ago.

I do not count the games that have a running clock. That is new in the last few years and is and outlier.

scoring is up because talent across the state is not evenly distributed, good teams usually only have one or two close games a year and blow out everyone else, coaches that i know work on tackling for significant amount of time

The rules from NSAA have made it harder to practice tackling. Just 30 minutes of live or thud contact on two consecutive days makes it more difficult to spend the time needed to master the skill. Throw in a JV game on Monday and your contact time in a smaller school gets squeezed even more. I agree that level of tackling has decreased.
