A lot of great games this week! Here are mine for 8a-4a. I'm not going to try to act like I know anything about the lower schools.

Sadly Morris vs MP won't be close.

Watched some of the Metamora/MP game last week and MP is really good, but the main reason is that Morris just doesn't have the team speed to keep up with MP. Those kids were flying up and down the field.

Sucks that they are both on the same side of the bracket.

I'm interested in all these games. In some, the interest rises to the level of excitement. Will watch, or at least keep an eye on, as many as I can.

MS v. LA
SR v. Quincy
Batavia v. DGN
MC v. Normal
LF v. Geneva
JCA v Peoria
Naz v. Rochelle
SL v. DP
Montini v. Princeton

But why must NFHS get involved with an MC home game? The game will be announced by the Caravan but broadcast by NFHS, the scourge of the playoffs for years. With them, there is a 50% chance of a catastrophic failure and a 100% chance of a production that's inferior to YouTube.

Hope Quincy does! Saw them last year vs WN with just about the same team and beat WN handily

I know its a big money grab, but don't they have any shame? NFHS gives a kickback to IHSA and to every other state agency they have a contract with, leaving no money for equipment or technical support. At the Better Business Bureau, NFHS averages one star out of five--and that's because the reviewers can't give zero stars.

So they can turn down teams from paying for the right to stream their own game? Sorry, I'm just confused by the language in your response, and because multiple teams will be streaming on their own channels this weekend

Going to try to watch Quincy, Dixon, and Rochelle. Have the semi-finals this weekend here in Montana, so a lot of high school ball to try and watch.

Television/Video Streaming Broadcast Application​

The IHSA Television/Video Streaming Broadcast Application must be submitted to the IHSA office to broadcast any State Series round in any sport, inclduing Regionals, Sectionals, Super-Sectionals and all rounds of the IHSA Football Playoffs.

****I'm not sure the exact reason, but MC would be streaming on our YouTube channel if we could. Last year during a game in the playoffs, the NFHS stream wouldn’t work, so we were able to switch over to YouTube.

Sounds like they either dropped the ball or didn't want to pay this year. I suppose they could get rejected, but I don't see why they would be singled out

Quincy has all there big guns returning and many starters plus extra year under there belt. MC not the same team and aura of invincibility not there this year. SR might have issue scoring with Quincy?

Quincy has a great team. I’m not the least bit concerned about this game. Rita by 21.

First half? A definite "Yes." Their QB had a great arm, was accurate and very confident. He avoided the pressure well.

35 - 0 in the second half. I just think SR took it to another level. After that 91 yarder by Herman to make it 28 - 14, I felt that was it from Quincy. I think Rita beat a very sound team with a very good offensive attack. In the future, if Quincy could schedule a Chicagoland team (preferably 7A), it might do them some good for playoff runs like this.
