Seems like CG has got into a groove, tough loses to PR and Huntley but both games they had a chance to win. Maybe it’s CGs turn this year for a state final run? Think they have the edge against Geneva

No doubt they’ve been on a tear since that unfortunate loss to Huntley. They have their work cut out for them with Geneva.

This week vs Geneva will be very telling. As well as they are playing, they are still young, starting offense will return at least 7 starters next year.

Geneva has never faced an offense like CG but their defense is stout, allowing only 108pts in the regular season in one of the toughest conferences in the state. Meanwhile, CG allowed 161pts in the reg season. Geneva has the talent but they have their work cut out for them. If their D1 receiver is back for the game, watch out. CG has a tough-to-solve offense while Geneva has offensive weapons all around. It might come down to which defense has an answer to the other's offense.

Is their receiver out?

If you are going to slow down the CG offense, you start by taking away the fullback.
