St. Viator had no problem with their first three opponents, but they were not the cream of the crop. They now face Carmel. I don’t know much about Carmel. Does Viator have a chance?

I think it will be tough game. Viator is the underdog. But I Think they may surprise. We’ll see.

No problem with DePaul? 21-21 start of the 4th… 28-21 with 3 minutes left. I wouldn’t call that no problem.

Carmel! They are getting kids from all over Northern Illinois. Watch out they are about to be the Carmel of the early 2000's!

Viator...just dont see it, this coaching staff does not put enough effort into getting talent into the building.

I like it, but a long way to go for replicating the Corsairs' of the early 2000's. The 38-3 ('01/'02/'03) run they had was the best in CCHS FB history. I just don't see it.

3-6 Carmel that lost to Viator by 17 last year and gave up 30+ points in 7 of their games?

Have they been active in the transfer portal? What's the diff this year?

Hard to say, both are 3-0 but none of the wins really stand out. If SV won by 17 last year I see no reason Carmel could make that up in one year. but I expect a close one.

Alot of younger kids playing this year (only 6 seniors i think), graduated few key players, and alot of kids that were playing varsity as underclassman kast year have some experience. Where some schools had to replace at graduation, they just had kids that werent ready last year. This year MIGHT be different.

Also, they are pulling from all over northern illinois. They have an entire county to recruit from without competition. Hell, their qb is from WI.

It certainly doesn’t look like it will be getting any easier this season for the Lions. Brutal schedule from here on. How was their QB looking? What was their downfall? Undersized? Or not enough weapons to throw to? Just curious. It’s been a while since I have been a game. They have had some stellar QBs over the years but have lacked in the protection department I think. Would like to watch the video.

Based on their game scores, it appears the Carmel D has tightened up since last year.

They won…42-21. Jesus. They apparently adjusted their plan.
How can you say they had no problem with DePaul when you just admitted you haven’t been to a game in years? Here’s a thought… watching games is more important than just looking at a box score. That was a game all the way up until the last few minutes. Ask anyone who watched the game.
